Desert Island - Clubhouse - Runner's World

OK what with musical and nostalgia threads, I was to start a desert island thread. Similar to desert island discs.

You're going to be marooned on a desert island for the rest of your life - the desert island contains the following:
1.A limitless supply of running shoes.
2.Lots of fresh water.
3.Matches to start a fire.

You can take with you.
1. One book.
2. One foodstuff (assume you can take a limitless supply.
3. One CD.
4. One film.

My starter for ten.

1. Das Kapital by Karl Marx - I always wanted to say I had read it but I've never got further than halfway down the first page.
2. Chicken - I don't care about carbs MUST have my weekly roast chicken.
3. Led Zep IV - surely the greatest collection of songs ever written.
4. Groundhog day - funnier every time I watch and very appropriate.

Book - Henry V (I know, I know, but its a great read).
Foodstuff - Good beer (not hard for me 'cause I think all beer is good).
CD - Hunky Dory, David Bowie - never heard a better album and expect I never will.
Film - Castaway - I'm a city boy, what do I know about desert islands? Might get some ideas.

Oh wow! Orange Juice, You can't hide your love forever. That's the second huge burst of nostalgia I've had in about 20 minutes.

Well, it's made from grapes and that's food. Red wine is a fundamental part of my diet, it leaves me 'FALLING AND LAUGHING' on many occassions. Thankyou Waapster for helping me remember the title of my all time fave album, 'YOU OLD ECCENTRIC' you. I CAN'T HELP MYSELF you know. BK, to put it IN A NUTSHELL great minds think alike. Do you know what, I really do L.O.V.E. LOVE this forum. Want to know what my real name is? A bit like FELICITY...anyone got it? Right must go and rewrite the piece of work I've been doing. Think I'll have 'RIP IT UP AND START AGAIN!! Bye all, have a good weekend...
