I quite like Kate, it's simple with no complications or obvious connotations. I'm actually Catherine on my birth certificate; but my mum didn't like Cath or Cathy so I've always been Kate. I never worked out how a completly different name can be short for something else... Oh well, some of you will recognise this reference: "Kate, short for Bob".

I don't think mine suits me...Caroline sounds like it should belong to somebody posher than what I am  Nearly everyone calls me Caz (I call myself Caz whenever I meet someone new).

Nobody can say my name right so I've grown to dislike it

Mine is far too common - I've pretty much got to the point where I don't often answer to it when I'm in a group/out in public. I just assume that it's another Sarah...

I'm Emmett it's nice being unusual, people tend to remember, and like Elvis and Madonna you only really need one name, so yes I like mine

Emmett reminds me of back to the future!

I love those movies!!

You know what's freaky, when I started school aged 4, the kid sat next to me was also called Emmett

I do now...although I used to wish it was something different - it's just ever so slightly different and I appreciate that now.

Wouldn't change it for the world

I like mine - it's Jonathan, but at different times in my life I've been Jonny, Jonjo, JB, Jonathan, and Jon...

Thank you Sarah, nice of you to say

"Kate" always makes me think of "the taming of the shrew". Preferably the BBC version with John Cleese.

I answer to both my names - Womble and xxxxx

i dont mind it, i dislike my middle name but i never use it so it doesnt matter.

the only annoying thing is that i have to spell it out to people everytime they write it down, they always assume its with a K, even on forums/facebook etc, people still spell it wrong, even when talking to/quoting me and its right in front of them.

I don't really like mine.  Not enough to change it, but no, I don't like it much.

I like my name, although a lot of people who see it on email prior to having met/spoken to me assume i'm a bloke!  My middle name is Catherine

I like my name - but it's not the name I was given - it's half of my last (third) name!!  My real name is Margaret Elizabeth XXXXXX - (my name isn't actually XXXX  )

I don't mind mine but it's normally always shortened. Only really my parents and work colleagues call me "Emily" - the rest have an assortment of Emmy / Em etc.
