reverse the Status Quo:O)
When i did Paris marathon i stopped for refreshments at two red wine stations
I missed the white wine station - somehow
I think I would really struggle, boozing on the run. It's hard enough having a couple of beers during my weekend walks!

973089 That's what i do Canute. Last year i did Southend on Sea Half. It was up and down the seafront 4 times. Great pb course but i hated it and ended up walking by mile 8. Have since done Bristol and Cardiff and loved them because of the scenery.

Blackpool Marathon was my first (on it's old course... the new course looks worse). Like you say about Southend, mile after mile on the seafront, throw in some wind, half the run WILL be into the wind. Plus the joy of the left over Saturday night revellers, wandering out of thier B & B s and in front of the runners eating chips/burgers and making stupid comments. The mess and litter in Blackpool on a Sunday morning is not nice. Then there's the strange block with the huge snake... I really don't like snakes!
you get wine in races, that's just asking for trouble
Today it's back to typical monday morning weather, brolly please

It was after the 20 mile point. My legs had gone by then anyway so i just thought i may as well numb my head too.
You're asking us to believe you waited til you had done 20 miles LWJ
I don't think so
It appears my morning post has disappeared
Must not have hit the submit button accurately
Never mind, the day has passed without problems as a consequence
Hope LWJ recovers from her hot flushes
