The earliest I have ever run was setting off for 18 miles at 6 am  That was in Italy, in the height of summer, so I was avoiding the heat.  Usually my LSRs start around 9/10 back for a slow bath before lunch.

I like to run the cyclepath, it gets busy weekends with kids and adults on their bikes.

I love running early, best time of the day in my opinion, clean fresh air and traffic free, whether I run on the path or road.

The only problem with the path is, no lighting. Headtorch required for early runs

Far too early to be out and about, there's only one 5 o'clock and that's when I finish work. The other doesn't exist

The dog likes a bit of off road, then lanes on the long lead.  My LSR are always lanes (no dog - she gets 10 mins before and a longer one in the afternoon).  This time of year the lack of daylight can cause a problem, lSR has to be cut back.. that's OK the big events don't really start till March, anyway...  Nov/Dec is a good down time for me.

Running in the dark.. no way!
