It's training at altitude which makes the difference. The air is alot thinner. I spent 4 days in the moutains a few years back then for about 6 weeks after i was flying.
When i say flying i mean by my standards. My breathing was a lot easier which meant i could up my pace slightly.
LWJ have you heard about the new Bournemouth Marathon and Half Mara on Oct 6th
I have Gaz, members of the running club are looking at it. I'm doing Budapest on 6th Sept, and still considering Cardiff again which is Oct. If a crowd from the club do Bournemouth i'll might go with that.
It was just mentioned on Twitter, profile of run looks ok, was thinking of giving it a go, 8am start
Be home in time for lunch
For the HM , will finish too early for the pubs to be open
Bournemouth = OAP ville
You two should fit right in
You could even get a discount
