How good it would be to win a first history making double

Come on you Blues!

Does anyone outside of the 3-4 clubs that can compete care about things like that any more ?    Taking pleasure in Chelsea beating Portsmouth is like taking pleasure in seeing a school bully taking a younger kids dinner money.

Won't bother watching it. Far more interested in the play-off games this week, and this from the supporter of a premiership side. Until there's a salary cap then there will probably only be fantasy team managers who win it with anything outside of 5 or more likely 3 current teams.

Nothing against Chelsea as such - I just think it's a shame that even for reasonably sized clubs the height of their ambition is now getting to the Premiership and avoiding relegation for a few seasons.   It's taken away the dream of actually competing.    When I was a kid my team Derby won the league twice, Forest won it, Villa won it, Leeds won it, West Brom, Ipswich and several other clubs had a good run at it etc and there are probably others I've missed -   and the FA Cup was won by a number of others - at a time when the FA Cup really meant something.    It's got now that even the likes of Everton have no chance, even Liverpool are looking short of funds needed to compete - you either need to have Man Utd levels of support or be a billionaires plaything - it does make a mockery of it - though obviously if you support one of the lucky clubs you make hay while it lasts.

I think the FA cup has been guzumphed by the Champions league and as such is a lot less relevant these days. I remember it used to be the climax of the football season - not anymore unfortunately.

Losing a few quid on it not being 2-0, annoying, watching that smug git Lampard miss a penalty, priceless!

Symes, I thought it was going to be 2-1. But am happy with the 1-0.

Still getting my voice back (and still have a hang-over).

So that's THREE trophies in three weeks - FA Youth Cup, Premiership and FA Cup - how good is that?

Blue is the colour!

You would think that a club that had just won the FA Youth Cup would have some decent home grown youngsters supplementing their 1st team?????

Man Utd have won the FA Youth Cup more than any other team which is testament to a proven youth policy (and the fact that most kids given the chance will aspire to play for a club that has produced names such as Best, Giggs, Scholes, Butt, Beckham and Neville).

Hopefully with Chelsea more prominent in the FA Youth Cup (and winning it in 2010), our own academy will start producing players capable of breaking into the first team. Ancelotti is reported to have identified five youth team players capable of being promoted into the first team squad. If they can cut it at that level that would be just great to see.
