Glad it wasn't today JFDI, its a bit mad out there!

Well done CB on the pb and the others too, saw on FB that there had been a few pbs

JFDI Yikes, too true, it is raging at about 35-40mph just now according to the Manston wind stats.

Does anybody know a local stockist of Shot Blok bars? I was given one to try on Sunday and think I might experiment with them, but I don't want to pay 40 quid for 18 packs which seems the main way in which they are sold mail order. Amazon do individual bars for £2.25 but it is another £3.99 p&p which seems a bit daft. I have tried DW, JB, Sports Direct and JJB in Canterbury but nobody stocks them and I don't fancy a 50 mile round trip to Sweat Shop at Maidstone.

No idea locally CB but there are some on ebay, varying prices.

Downland cycles in Canterbury usually have them. I used ebay last time and didn't pay any postage..

The marathon and half are live for online entries - can someone who is a subscriber please open up a thread?  Thank you

A reminder to all club members that if you want to run the half you will need to nominate a marshal in your place.

Thanks DB2. I was up in london yesterday and got some from the Marathon store but if they work I will keep Downland in mind for the future.

I''ve not put the latest membership form on the website, but the renewal will go out to members in the next newsletter.

CB, I see your comment on the loos - they are pricey aren't they?! Seeing as how my council tax paid for the loo I used, can I have a £1.25 refund?

But given that our entry fees are cheap, maybe it is worth an extra £ on the entry for a few more? Something for the future....

Thanks Ed

Bill - shot bloks are fantastic. I've been using them for a few years.

I nearly always get mine on line and buy in bulk to get best price.  Wiggle has an offer on at the moment (10% off I think).

Re the loos - I'm not sure you will ever have enough, read any race report (including events like London which are professionally run) and you will see comments about queues and loos....  Some people need to lighten up a bit.... and not leave it to the last minute!  Anyone would think we were running an event for toddlers....  please miss can I have a wee wee

Of course you can have a wee wee, it will cost you £1.25!

A small contingent of TRACcies at Lydd today, nice to see Adie back for his first Half in 2 years. Weather was a tad warm. The organisers at Lydd seem to get things a little better each time but let's face it, our organisation and enthusiastic marshals are a hard act to follow!

Can I just say a big thank you to Adie who accompanied me on my last long run before London today. It was not the most pleasant of conditions with a pretty cold wind coming in off the sea but it was great to have your company as I am not sure I would have got past Minnis Bay if I had been on my own.

certainly was nicer on way back from Herne Bay than on way there. I managed 7 but plenty of niggles at the moment mean i can't really get going. Folkestone 10 is a still a maybe. Saw Gary the magician on Wed which has definitely helped.
