There is Cinders - Gaynor meets outside Ramsgate Swimming Pool every Thursday at 6.30.  There were about 4 other ladies last week.

This forum seems to have ground to a halt since the TRAC Facebook page was set up. I am not on Facebook, and don't intend to be as I don't like the whole idea of it where it sounds as if folk are expected to share every minute detail of their lives. Every time I buy a pack of batteries on Amazon I am invited to share that information with Facebook! The only problem is I sometimes feel like the last man in town not to have a telephone. I don't use Twitter or Youtube either. I am not a Luddite, I got my first home computer nearly 30 years ago and was an early user of Yahoo Messenger, ICQ etc but I just don't understand the popularity or appeal of social networking sites. End of rant!

Rant away CB!  It has gone very quiet on here though - WAKE UP EVERYONE!!!

Well done on your Marshside adventure! RESPECT! You are now an official nutter. Do you go on the TRAC Facebook site and is it busy? I have just had a look at the forum on our website and it does not have a lot of traffic. Maybe everybody is too busy out running.

Afternoon

I'm confused, there seems to be 2 TRAC fb pages, is that right?

Cinders I am afraid I don't know, as I say, I am not on FB.

Hi CB the forum on our website goes in fits and starts a bit.  The FB pages (there are 2) do have stuff on them.  I tend to try and use the Thanet Roadrunners one as opposed to the thanet road runners

I think there are only 3 of us ever post on here now. It looks like this forum has reached the end of its natural life.

True although people do pop in now and then.

Went out for a run this morning, yikes was it hot. I thought Lesley was going to have to find me and bring me home in a couple of buckets. Must have lost several pounds out there!

By the way, did anybody see the voucher in Saturday's Telegraph for £10 off at sweatshop with no minimum spend. I threw mine away as it would cost me about £5 in petrol to get up to Maidstone and back and although you could use it online you would of course incur delivery charges.

Went on the bbq breakfast run and it was roasting hot!

Hiya Bill, Yes, I went out for the club run this morning, having been largely out of action for what seems like ages (well, a stone if that can be a measure of time...) and it was indeed a tad toasty!! I too saw the sweatshop voucher, but didn't take it up either. And well done on coming home head of Brian yesterday!

Yes, at last I got the beggar! I got to within 3 seconds of him on a previous occasion but could never quite catch him. To be fair to Brian he was way off his usual pace, but now I have done it once I will be after him again next time.

I am going up to Scotland on Wednesday for a few days and running the 10k in my home town of Paisley on Sunday, so that should be fun. I know it is a pretty flat course and I will get an extra buzz from knowing where I am running, if you know what I mean.

Have a good run on Sunday

Have any of you folks ever run with odd shoes? All my trainers are kept in the cupboard under the stairs and when running from home I don't have my glasses on. I have a pair of Nikes which are mainly white with blue trim, and a pair of Brooks in a similar colour scheme. When I got home from a run last week I discovered I was wearing one Nile and one Brooks and had never noticed. The daft thing is when I went to put them away I found a pair just like it in there too!
