Thanks Ed. It had a lot of fun runners as it was organised by the Heart Foundation. Also, we had torrential rain the night before and there was a lot of standing water but I still managed 54:50 and almost made the top half of the field, that shows how many fun runners there were!

When I was running the Paisley 10k I saw one guy at the start who was carrying a Highland Spring bottle containing Irn Bru!

Ed I had a great conversation with waiter in Hotel. He had been having a rough time of it as the kitchen was messing up badly and he was taking all the flak. Later in the evening I went down to get some teabags and sympathised with him about the bad time he had been having. He told me it was his first day off in a month the following day. I told him to enjoy himself and make sure he got blootered (Glasgow for "hammered" ) as he deserved it after the night he had had. He says, funny you should say that but me and two pals are going to Glasgow to get our suits for a wedding, the shopping's going to be done by 10.30 and the pubs open at 11.
You know the Lou Reed song "Perfect Day", well does this qualify. A PB in the morning, Faversham Hop Festival with beer and bands in the afternoon, KFC takeaway and finished off with Match of the Day. Perfick as Pop Larkin might say.
