A general forum for runners in Thanet
That's an early start!
Anyone doing Whitstable next month?
yes to whitstable, illness/fitness permitting, persuaded a work colleague to do it as well
Cinders, yes I am doing Whitstable and my number came through this morning.
JFDI I looked back at my time for Darent Valley last year which was about 5 or 6 minutes slower than the other 10ks I was doing, so yes, it must have taken quite a bit out of me. I have looked at the entrants and again it looks like less than a dozen TRACcies doing it.
Hello all. I've been off the forums for month during a move but now I'm safely in Whistable I guess I should say hello! After that, I'm not running much at the moment...mostly cycling as have a couple of sportives lined up for the summer. Hoping to do the 10k though...if legs still functional after bike ride the day before.
do you know if Darent has entry on the day & CB hypothetically could i grab a lift with you on sunday morning if i'm able to do it?
remins me of an attempt to find Stelling Minnis once! i got completely lost and arrived about 3 mins before the start with a full bladder
hi Bill ,think i'll give it a miss, had to go up to Greenwich today and have had my fill of the A2/M2. Also, got a sore throat still. I'll probably do a leisurely 6/7 miler along our glorious coastline. Good luck finding it and thanks for the offer.
thinking of trying the new Maidstone park run tomorrow
Go for it TT. Unfortunately I am not around tomorrow or next Saturday, but the next few after that I will probably volunteer to help at Palm Bay.
Palm Bay starts next week doesn't it?
I have mine too
MAidstone Park Run was good - well worth the occasional trip. Nasty uphill finish but pretty flat apart from that and very scenic along the river. Been trying to get a place in the Lottery run in the olympic stadium all day and the website has crashed, bet i'll miss out when it finally comes back (if my boss reads this, i have been working in between attempting to get a place in that run...)
yay got a place in the end, can't wait to run around the olympic track!
