sure you can't manage a sub-1:40 just to impress the girls?
Fair ? what have you got to go on ? recent training times ? 10k or other race times ? are you disabled in anyway (apart from mentally ) before anyone says that
see I have only just heard of you so I still got some patience just don't test it !!!
Actually its all a tactic to not do too great a time otherwise Ive got nowhere to go, whereas I run say 1:47 in a couple of weeks, then say a 1:40 flat a month later, you'll all be like WTF, he must be brilliant .......... bwhahahaa .........
Remember some of us havent been running for years like you lot.
Don't be mean, NN, not everyone can run as fast as you.
1.47 is a decent time its all relative..

Im thinking about a trip up to Stonehenge to see him finish his first full marathon. I can combine it with a long run. We could run a sweepstake.
Well last year the winner took 3 hours! (2 hours 56 to be exact), so its not exactly going to be a VLM walk in the park.
I notice on the General Running board there is someone selling his Reading half place. Anyone tempted? I might go down for the day and pace DF3.
