I've just returned from the annual conference for Personnel Managers in Harrogate. And they had a 3k fun run. And I was the first over the line.

Ok, so it was a fun run. With only about 18 runners. And I crossed the line at the same time as another runner. But there was a prize for first male and first female finisher. So that makes me the (joint) winner, right?

This little plastic trophy is the first sporting trophy I have ever won in my life. And actually, I feel a little bit proud.

Just thought I'd share that with you.

Oh, and I'm on the conference video crossing the line wearing my URWFRC t-shirt.

Good for you, doesn't matter where the competition is if you're first you're first.

Well done, and good club promo as well!!!

Hey Waapster, well doneon your win, you can only beat the competition thats turns up, so well done, cos you deserve that first place

Good for you Waapster. Much better than getting a prize for the best wigwam constructed out of paperclips in the team building session.

Beware though - next year the run may be invaded by 742 forumites intent on breaking your record.

Yeah, nice one Waapster! I've never won a race in my life so it must feel brilliant!

(Like Laura says - let me know where I can get an entry form for next year!)

The only race I ever won was in my junior days, that was over 17 years ago now, but I still remember the feeling, and it really is great!
