How did you choose your forum name?

My dad used to call me tinribs when I was a boy, he meant it as a term of humour/endearment, rather than a derogatory one

Definition - A derogatory term for someone who's so thin that his/her ribs are visible.

I was indeed very skinny then........ now I've lost a lot of weight as an adult, it seemed an appropriate forum name  

Tickled Pink is the campaign name for ASDAs campaign fundraising for breast cancer.  I had a cheap fleece of theirs with the logo on it lying on the sofa when I was looking for a name.  I didn't even really like the colour pink much at the time ...

I've got used to being abbreviated to TP and tbh I kind of prefer that now. 

l didn't realise the username l entered would be the name that appeared on the screen in the forum. l thought id get a chance at a later stage of the signup process to enter a wondefully witty, slightly humorous yet thought provoking screen name.

My old school teachers were right. Im one of life's failures.

Gareth -  If I remember correctly we used to have to have a nickname to sign up then RW changed it some way. You should still be able to change your forum ID unless the function is broken again - likely.

Because my name is Tom and I grew up withthe Clash the 2 bit is because I was not very original and there is another Tommygun but I beleive that is his real name

If I used the first car method of names, I'd be redmetro. Classy. 

My original forum name was Yeoman 2, the role I was playing in the Yeomen of the Guard at the time.  Don't knock it, it's actually a bigger part than Yeoman 1.

Anyway, most people shortened it to Yeo, and that stuck.
