A very long time ago I used my real life name then became a reindeer over Xmas.  I decided to keep it as lots of people had animals as avatars, and added "Fruity" to "Reindeer" when someone said I was fruity.  I took this to mean a bit smutty as in Sid James type humour so stuck with it, but a lot of people thought I was gay/female.

In light of this I picked what I thought was the most macho sounding animal I could think of.  The XFR stands for eX Fruity Reindeer which I had in full so people knew who I was before, and the XFR stuck

I was a runner in North London. Moved to Sussex but didn't change it until the riots made me feel a long way from London. Thankfully.

Never thought you was gay XFR but I did think you were female. Sorry about all the PM's asking for phone sex

Once upon a time, I had a rather cool little cat called Sapphire. Her nickname was Saffy sweety pea. When I set up my profile, I didn't have a clue what to call myself. She was curled up next to me so I decided to use her nickname

My name is John! so I used the name "Johnny" because I've always been an original thinker (and I share a surname with a well known, lyrical, red haired musician of the seventies and eighties). About eleven years ago RW forum randomly decided that the user name "johnny" didn't exist, so I called myself "johnny again".

When I joined this site had just watched some programme on telly about Men who have Fat Women Fetishes, and their Feeders and men pay to watch the Feeders feed the fat women - my friend (also skinny) suggested we should set up a site for Fat Women who Fancy Skinny Men and we could let them pay to watch us refuse to eat a cucumber sandwich!

My parents chose it for me, but beware the subliminal full stop.

Is Mick Hucknall synonymous with original thinking?

Wash your mouth out! Think bad teeth rather than bland tunes.

it was as a result of months of detailed research and my never-ending quest for stunning originality

It's a nickname that I used to have.... but now most people just call me Emmy as an affectionate nickname to my real name.

My mum and dad chose it for me. They anticipated the need well before the advent of the internet! What forward thinking?!

Thank god for that JA. Although his teeth didn't look too bad when I saw him last week.

My dad used to call me tinribs when I was a boy, he meant it as a term of humour/endearment, rather than a derogatory one

Definition - A derogatory term for someone who's so thin that his/her ribs are visible.

I was indeed very skinny then........ now I've lost a lot of weight as an adult, it seemed an appropriate forum name

Tickled Pink is the campaign name for ASDAs campaign fundraising for breast cancer.  I had a cheap fleece of theirs with the logo on it lying on the sofa when I was looking for a name.  I didn't even really like the colour pink much at the time ...
