I want a Pink Watch

Help with Christmas present please

Ok, I know it's only November, and normally I don't mention the C word until December, but 3 times now my gorgeous 2 and a bit year old has said "I want a pink watch".  Once was just as she woke from a nap, so she must have been dreaming about it.

I found one online, and sent off for it, but it's obviously designed for a 4+ year old, as it's way too big for her little wrists.  I'll save that one for when she's older.

She can't yet tell the time, so I don't necessarily need a real watch, but can anyone suggest something that looks like a watch that would fit a small person. (She's quite big for 2 - more like 3 yo size).

In saying that, she will notice if it's not watch-like..................

You could help make a wee girl very very happy.

Would this be pink enough?

This one is a little more expensive

It's lovely (and she does like Peppa Pig), but it's also too big. (I've done the Argos trip........)

They both say they are suitable for 3+ so the other one might be too big too.

Don't know what happened to the second one I thought I'd linked to! They call this one a 'toddlers' watch

The second one is the one I bought.  It's lovely, but just too big.

Maybe she'll have forgotten about it by Christmas.................

Don't bank on it, Nessie

Nessie
my grand daughter wants the same thing and I was searching here pink watches  !!

Hope one fits.........................

I think the one I have is the same size as the smallest there - 20mm case diameter.

I could always give it to her and just tell her she'll need to wait until she's a bit bigger to wear it.

Not that that stops her wearing mine at the moment (and dropping it everywhere when she forgets to hold her arm up).

Ooh, I think I want a pink watch after browsing through that link. (I've always had a thing for watches and my taste has never quite 'grown up'  )

I imagine you'd stuggle to find anything much smaller than 20mm.... How about something that attaches like a broach, rather than needing to go round a tiny wrist?

I was thinking more the other way Julie - like a fake watch that goes on her wrist.  Going by how fascinated she is with my watch, and her dad's, I think she just thinks of them as bracelets anyway.

I have a vague memory as a child of getting something like that in a lucky bag or something, but I can't find anything on line.  If I google "fake watches" I get lots of hits, but I don't think she'd appreciate a replica Rolex!

How about one of those Breo watches, they come in all colours, have a digital display and look like one of those rubber bands like the Lance Armstrong or Help for Heroes charity things. Water proof as well i think and about £10.

It might be worth looking in some of the little toy shops.

What about these - little wooden toy watches

Or on ebay

I wouldn't bother with a 'real' one, tbh.  My 6 year old loves hers, but it is all about the decoration.

nessie, go to amazon and type in 'girls toy watches' there is a selection of about 20 or so-some too old- but  few are the wooden type suggested by wotsit above with elasticated bead strap in flower designs. some are just a few pounds.my daughter had one when she was a toddler and loved it . like the others said it doesnt have to work- its just the prettiness and being like mum that they like!!

good luck!

Lots of watches on here

Not sure if they're still too big, but they have a wide range - and in pinks!

Here are a few more wooden ones.

Hope you find something.

Thanks everyone.  I've ordered one of the wooden ones and I'll see how it looks - at that price it's silly not to.  Most of the others are the same size as the one I bought (or bigger).  She'll just have to grow a bit.

Love the Breo ones - I think I'll order one and if it's too big for her, I can keep it for myself..... (ahem)

I got this one (the pink and yellow one on the left) although from a different company.

It's perfect.  Small stretchy strap, nice sized face, and pink.  She'll love it.

Thanks everyone.

Edit: of course I meant "pink and yellow one on the right"
