Soft and squidgy in the middle?

If I were a biscuit (and just to be clear, i am not) I would be the sort of biscuit that does not dissolve immediately upon contact with the morning beverage, but stays coherent and entire despite being immersed in a maelstrom of instant coffee.

Shortbread - can be thick and crumbles easily!

I'd rather be one of those posh Italian ones you have with a good coffee but I can't remember what they're called....

Amaretto.

Thanks for the prompt - but I remember now - Biscotti!

Jaffa cake

Thats a cake not a biscuit

I think i'd be a jammy dodger at the minute for winning a place for the VLM form the club ballot!

Difficult - just because it says cake in the name doesn't mean it is, though.  Oatcakes are definitely not cakes.

Jaffa cakes are a bit biscuity, but I'll grant you they are not crunchy (which a good buscuit should be).

If I can't be a Jaffa cake, then shortbread.

i didn't say you couldn't be a jaffa cake, i was just being awkward

I wouldn't be a biscuit I would be a Krispy Kreme custard doughnut - frosting on the top with hidden depths.

And nothing natural about you? Sorry, couldn't resist. That was mean of me.

I was thinking jammy dodger but there is nothing jammy or dodgy about me. Maybe a rich tea because that is about as boring as it comes. I'd maybe like to think that I was an iced gem. full of artificial colours but bright anyway.

I think in tests the Bourbon came out top.

A cake is a cake if it goes hard as it gets stale. A biscuit is a biscuit if it goes soft as it goes stale. Stephen Fry says so, so it must be true

jaffa cakes are cakes as defined by baking. the company went to great lengths to argue it in court even for tax/pricing reasons.

cake = goes hard when stale

biscuit = goes soft when stale.

I would be a homemade fork biscuit.  Deceptively simple, but actually very nice.  And a bit misshapen, as all the best homemade biscuits are.
