I'm also a DIY disaster area. I can change a light bulb but thats it.

But the upside is the Mrs never asks me to carry out any DIY around the house knowing full well it will break/shatter/fall to pieces within seconds of completion. Happy days!!

How is it that so many people out there who insist that they are absolute rubbish at everything and anything with no talent at all somehow find that the 'one' thing that they 'can' actually do well, convienently earns them their living with a shed load of cash besides. 

I can't eat tomato sauce.  Can't even touch it.

The only bit of DIY I can do is the first bit where you find the phone number of the relevant expert.  Can't even call them because I can't explain what needs doing!

I can't sleep when flying.  I'm famous for falling asleep immediately after landing, but never before.

I can't read when in a moving vehicle on the road.  Trains and planes fine, but not even on a coach.
