I wasn't referring to men in general shopping, I meant those who get dragged along by their other halves and would rather be elsewhere and behave inappropriately .

Just to get  back to the original subject, I have never been bitten, attacked or threatened by a dog. This is because I am slow. I do my speedwork at the same pace BTB does his recovery runs.

BTB- SLOW DOWN THEN YOU WOULDN'T HAVE TO WORRY!!!!

You see- I have solved the whole dog problem and proved that it's best to be rubbish at running.

I'm in, I do the business and I'm out with the minimum of fuss and casualties to the old wallet and time, through browsing shit I don't need...

I once did an entire Xmas shop for an an extended family of 11 in 15 minutes... which left 4hours 45 minutes to spend in the pub...

Oh yes.... come the debrief from 'er indoors' I add on a couple of hours to make it seem like it was pure hell out there... but I know different.

I agree having to have a licence to have a dog would not be a bad idea.  Note, the owner (or walker...) should be licenced, not the dog.  I wouldn't put a weight range on it.  People should make the same efforts to correctly train a little dog that they do with a big one.  For one thing a yappy little dog is just as likely to start a dog fight as a big dog.

I also think people should have to have a licence to be able to use an umbrella.  Lethal things, especially on windy days when they are useless anyway.
