and i haven't even completed a marathon, the furthest I've run was 20 miles.

No need to run more than 30 mpw for first IM - if you are injury prone then longer bbrick sessions are ideal.
Enjoy and don't get carried awy. sort out teh swimming before Christmas - even then jsut learn to swimwith good technique and the distance will come. There's no need to have swum more than 2kin one go before the day as long as the session in total is over 3.5k
PS Austria is by far teh hardest IM

Id say you could pretty much put the running on minimum maintenance or even do virtually none until the new year.
You may well gain as much by spending that time in the saddle instead and give your legs plenty of time to recover.
Thats what I'm thinking Barly, i've spent 22 years running - that's the bit I can do. Over the last 6 years, I've had 2 kids and really only run so x-training has been at a minimum. I need to get the cycling muscles working.
and I'll mention again that I need to learn to swim properly!
Gumps, the running is the only thing I've got any confidence in.....
but I've got to be really mentally strong with this, and I can be - I just hope my body holds out!

Have you thought of logging your training on Fetch? It's been spruced up quite a bit and enables you to map & log all kinds of runs and other cross training including about 4/5 different cycling categories and a few swimming categories. It gives you pretty stats and graphs across the year, predicts times etc.
