I was going to try malt loaf - not sure I'll bother now.
I eat gingerbread on the bike. and jelly babies. and powerbars, and...anything really. Do find it a problem eating dry salty things like pretzels and crackers though.
since many of you are leaving for Bala today, wishing all of you great good luck and hoping for a few reciprocal wishes for our half at Maxdorf on Sunday too. LJS is determined to race, even though he did a 10km a few days ago that was for him far too slow and he's still getting pain from his ribs. Told him I expect to catch him on the half-mara - that's guaranteed to spur him on!

Just listened in to Rio's conversation on the radio .... it was interesting, she sounds pretty calm... good voice for radio! They should give her a spot

Right, I just weighed out my SIS powder, one 40g one just 20g; so 2 bottles on the bike, will ditch one at the turnaround and grab whatever is on offer. 2 bottles of water at transition, one a running bottle.
Right, off to check my running legs.

I am ticking over, having a bit of a motivation problem and wishing I had a training partner who lived near. But I will get over it!
Received a new wetsuit yesterday..........it wasn't a suprise I had ordered it an Orca s2 tried it on and I much prefer it to my current 2xu one, the whole shoulder area is a flexible material and I really want to try it out now, will have to try to get to a lido next week. If I cant it will get its first outing at the Big Cow tri .
Anyway off to the Isle of Wight tomorrow (I should be in a really good mood heaven knows why I am not ) back Monday.
Did my 8 miler, fastest training time yet. Some residual tiredness in my legs though.
