Hey I would say I'm still here, but I'm not. The quick synopsis is a quagmire of work, being overly dramatic; like you would be in 'The Round'.
And a sudden really irritating compulsion to talk in riddles.
This thread is still on the first page... Oh my.
I'm sick of pulling up a thread I want to look at and finding myself on the first page instead of the last.
Iw, I don't even look in really. I also bought the mag this month just to see... I mean it's all fine because let's face it, there is only so much you can say about running. BUT, the articles gleaned straight from RWUSA aren't even proof read for basics like font size and type. It's a shame because the USA do write good stuff however our mag bragging it looks like a scrapbook.
One of the features on the cover is "Can Running Booze-Proof Your Brain?". Ok, that particularly is beguiling and will lure me in; even more so because I couldn't thumb through the copy on sale because it insisted on giving me a cheap free gift that has nothing to do with running and suffocating itself in plastic.
However on page 19 there is the headline article, less than 200 word of pap which says nothing. So someone had the 'good' idea of getting interest in our culture of booze and linking it to something that (if you work on stereotypes), is a polar opposite... Great idea, if you could translate that into something in-depth. But no, we get a short boring bedtime story for 6yr olds.
And have you noticed that whoever cobbled together the cover, has overshot with "Shrink your Belly!" and the exclamation mark covers the model's left arm. Also 'belly' is an American term predominantly.
And why is weight loss hyphenated?
Just my vote for less course work on GCSE's.
Sorry, it is bad though... My kids could mock up a cover better.
"10 steps to beat any injury" is strangely overlayed on the model's elbow? How was that ever a good visual decision?
It's ok, I've turned my unnecessary harshness to Channel 5 now.
I posted on the 3rd, yet this is still on the first page of Clubhouse and people are still looking in. It doesn't mean I'm interesting, it means that clubhouse has become as dull as fuck.
Actually that's a stupid expression as fucking isn't dull.
Well, is it for you? (Note to husband not to reply).
I refuse to get buried under spam. That is all.
Hello KK from the "Clubhouse".
Hi KK - still lurking - trying to get motivation to train, not there yet.......
Ok, after a hiatus I thought I'd revisit this thread. It's been here for a long while, I'm still here, though infrequently now. But I thought that maybe just trying to put kat klaws to keyboard might help me work through a few things.
I can't, no really can't work out why my running is all over the place. How can anyone be so inconsistant?
I need to wean myself off the psychological need to 'define' myself by my running ability/inability. It's ridiculous, especially given that I have a good marriage, great kids, job I like etc etc... No, it's verging on pathetic.
But it's there, why?
Oh and hi WS, although you've probably gone now.
