I've never done a tri of any description, I haven't got a bike, my swimming is cr*p, I've got no dosh......

but I've just entered Ironman Nice.

No idea what to do next,

Hmmm, maybe tell Mr kk?

I am going to need so much help........

Still in plaster with my ankle, but what next? A bike I guess, it'll have to be a road one now... I haven't got a wetsuit.... I've got no kit. What are the essentials?

get a bike .... as soon as you can

winter is coming so a turbo traininer would be good

tep you need a wetty - maike sure its try specific

and thers loasd of time to train

 a few 1-2-1 swimming lessos will do wonders for your swim - ask at you local pool

I've just phoned Mr kk, he thinks I'm completely off my head but is supportive.

He also laughed at the thought of lots of fit ironmen and women surging through the water and me doing doggy paddle in the middle

I think I will have to get swimming lessons.

My neighbours are accomplished cyclists, I can borrow a bike until I get one.

Is there anything I can do with my leg still in plaster??

Kk, get down the gym and start with upper body strength if you can't use your legs at the mo! What the hell would I know, just sounds like you need all the support you can get

Excellent KK

Priority 1 is get a road bike, most important thing is you get one that fits properly.

Priority 2, start riding your bike, lots and lots

Priority 3, get some 1-2-1 swimming lessions. 6-8 lessons over 2-3 months should see you develop a reasonably compitent FC technique. Can be a bit frustrating learning (like learning to drive) but youll get sudden breakthroughs. You dont need to worry about a wetty till next year (March) just before open water practise starts.

Priority 4, ask lots and lots and lots of questions.

Priority 5, complete Ironman Nice and feel on top of the world.
