Sorry if anyone else has already done this But Lee Merrien has been added to the Olympic Marathon team.

Didn't a runner Rob Denmark achieve some qualifying time in the same way as Lee but wasn't selected even though he offered to pay all expenses?

Good decision. It would have been very harsh to have only had 2 athletes in the London Olympic marathon. Lee Merrien's results during the last 2 years show that he deserves the 3rd spot, especially as he was comfortably inside the IAAF qualifying time.
