Sounds good Bogie.

What part of the country are you in roughly?

speaking of food any midlands folks might find this interesting. It involves running so sorry in advance but http://www.heanorrunningclub.com/9.html It looks good.

I'm down south! Oxfordshire to be precise! As you can imagine....bloody RAMMED with students at the minute!

Cake - the pud run looks amazing, unfortunately I am in Bournemouth that weekend for two nights of binge drinking (and eating of course!)

I've been thinking of doing that one, Cakey

I don't run, so count me out.

Oh yes, I know the area well Bogie, from my frequent trips up and down the A34 from Leicester to Portsmouth.  If there is any of my mountain of food left overs from the weekend that is still edible, I might pop it in to you on my way past on Saturday I like to give food to those who appreciate it

Just realised nearly all my posts contain some sort of food object in..... Im a foodaholic!!

And you wonder why you fit in so well?   I'm in Cambridge, so deepest sympathy on the students front.  Apart from one week of the year when I'll be thwocking you over the head with a virtual oar, it's nice to have someone around my way.  Everyone else seems to be either ooop north or daaahn saaf west.  At least now Caz has moved she's a bit nearer.

I am sick   MrKJ's lurgy did manage to cross the divide despite my attempts to keep it under control, and I've been on my sick bed since Friday. The one saving grace is that Mini doesn't have it, and her grandparents have now taken her for a couple of days to let me recover so I can look after her properly.

Unsurprisingly, I haven't celebrated British Cheese week just yet, I even had to leave the room when MrKJ ate a pizza earlier.

I've spectated at this one after I had glandular fever the other year, the visitor centre there has a fab cafe with amazing scones so well worth the trip. And you get a Christmas pud after the race!

Any news on the next addition to the family GFB?

Oh yes!! rest assured it would be well appreciated  Only if you're going past though....the A34 is a mare at the best of times!!

Aaah Hash! Indeed the virtual oars will be out once a year, although I shamed myself this year and missed the race! Want to go and actually watch it one year!  Nice to know there is people in this neck of the woods too!!

evening mundane chums

glad the weekend went well,... been thinking, did we manage to sort out a team for Legends or did i miss something and its the Zombie jobbie instead?...

ive just had a small bag of almonds.

Towner, you are psychic.  We were talking about Legends this weekend.

I have booked 10 places at £20 each.  They will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.  PM me if you want a place and I will send you my address if you want to send a cheque, or my bank details if you would prefer a cash transfer.

I believe that you can still get individual places if we get more than 10 people, but you won't get them as cheap, as I got the early bird discount.

Details here
