I like training in winter, too...no bliddy pollen around.

The neighbours all thought I was bonkers last year. outside talking to them, first flakes of snow appeared so I went inside, got my kit on and went running across the fields in the the falling snow. Best run of the year

Morning Mundanies

+1 for winter runs.

A lovely still and crisp early morning makes for a great run under a clear starlit sky, very nice.

I don't do winter. It's just too painful. That Raynauds for you. I'm already suffering in the evenings.

I'm going to have to get Bob and Roberta out of hibernation this morning. Dolly won't cope with the roads the state they are in. I don't even know how I'm going to get to work with all the road closures. I so want a duvet day. Still only one more day to go then it's the weekend.

Hope the lurgyfied get better soon.

Morning all - I guess I didn't get in the ballot as I didn't get any notification and I don't see anything in my bank to suggest a payment - I never get in!!

I prefer training in winter too - I loved getting all togged out in warm gear - the other thing is I don't like running around in my figure showing off my lard so winter ensures I'm less visable!

I'm going to train for our local marathon which is on next year for the first time in over 25 years...we being all cultured and all next year

I love running in the winter too, other than the first few minutes when my throat/chest goes into shock at the sudden influx of cold air! I'm never quite sure what kit to wear either - I'm usually too overzealous in wrapping up

I'm off to the doctors at 11am. No need for cold hard stares

I dont appear to have a place at VLM either, but i do have a place in Brighton already booked so will do that instead.

I love winter training. Especially early mornings or in the snow. Then coming home to a warm bath.

Tea anyone?

We swim in a country park with the permission of the land owners.  Its not generally open to the public.  I suspect that it is linked to insurance or something, but it pissed me off big time that the others were allowed to swim but I wasn't.

Tomorrow night I am going to walk a stretch of river I have found and see whether that is suitable for swimming in.  If it is extra safe then I might go in on my own.

*padington bear special hard stare*  Now them young lady never swim open water on your todd if something happens no-one will know till you wash up on a beach somewhere. If you want to do some over the next few months and no-one will play if I'm free I would be up for it. Would have to wear a wettie through if thats ok. I'm not as hard as you.

(((gfb))) That sounds hopefull, I hope you're through, that would be so cool.

Unfortunately, no LVM for me, just got my "Dear Runner we regret...."  letter,  and I'd got all the way back up to running 6 miles as well, only had 20 more to go.

(((small))) I'm just one tea cosy short of a tea cosy - but come national wear cheese on your head day, I'll be right there with the camera.
