Morning
I have never watched GBBO either KJ. I am also not the person to ask about cooking lovely stuff gfb!

Grilled Scotish Sirloin Steak, Confit Tomato, Filed Mushrooms (sic), French Fries, Bearnaise sause.

In other words, steak, chips, fried mushrooms, tomato ketchup and mayo. It's amazing how you can talk up a crappy meal.

I have never watched GBBO either, there again I don't have a telly though there's tv at work I watch 5USA at night.

GFB - smoked salmon is always very good. yum.

Morning all - it's kinda dark outside...it's the start of going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark.

There's something funny going on with my printer at the minute!!  I fear I may have to spend some money soon

I'm thinking of going swimbling today, still resting the legs and it's hockey tonight, want to be on top form.

I want to revamp my training and introduce some HIIT workouts, like intensive intervals. I like the long intervals - 1 - 3k done at 5k or 10k pace but HIIT is much shorter and faster. I think it might be good.

I don't know how I'm going to get all this training in though.

Enough of this nonsense, I must find something mundane to talk about. I ave 2 printers, an a3 printer and an a4 photo quality printer. Is that mundane enough? Oh and I should be sewing some bags but I'm not. I'm typing nonsense.

Did you ever have one of those days when you woke up just feeling - *meh*....that's how I feel today...

I'm feeling that as well today and slightly grumpy about the football last night. Just looked up the times and realised there is no way I can watch it later.

I was surpliced by the result of GBBO as well as throught the chap in the glass's should have got it, but through the old guy was very good but had no flare or idea's so was worth getting all the way to the end but probably shouldn't have won it.

If someone comes up with a way to sample telly food then GBBO will be even better

In mundane news I need keyhole surgery on my knee. This may affect my ability to put bins out

Why are you having a keyhole put in your knee is this so you can hide chocolate in your fibia?

Oh no Bear...I fear Peter (Jenn's other half) may need something similar as his MRI results came back that his cruciate ligament is destroyed...(hugs for poorly knees)

17/10/2012 at 12:54

I think ligament repair can be a bit more dramatic - depends on the detail but in some cases they take a chunk of tissue from elsewhere and use that. Mine's a simple snip

i AM a printer.....and i seem to be functioning ok at the moment.

i had a knee arthroscopy 2 years ago Bear, we can discuss recovery etc.... brilliantly mundane!

in other news, i cant find my glasses.

17/10/2012 at 13:31

Thanks Towner, I had one on the other knee a few years back so I'm fairly well informed

I have not seen any GBBoffs either but then I only really watch films mostly. Last night we saw Beautiful Lies. Very nice film, and a few days ago we watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. That was excellent.

My printer is working but the ink cartridge has to be taken out and shaken periodically.

It's very windy today. But not as windy as it was one night in '87. I slept through that though, so it might be...

My top boss had that done on Friday Bear.  He was back in work and walking normally on Monday, and he said that he already felt better than before it was done

What is the difference between baking and roasting?  You put a joint in the oven, covered in foil and its called a roast.  if you do the same with fish then it is baked.  I think I might be having baked vegetables and chicken for lunch.

I've got a fab recipe for a smoked salmon dish GGFB.  It takes forever to make in advance as it is one of those recipes where you do a little, chill it, do a bit more etc.  but once it is assembled you put it in the overn for 10 min to cook, then serve.  You line ramekins with smoked salmon, then fill with more sdsalmon and some cream cheese and chives, if my memory is correct.  They look very impressive and are very filling so you only need to serve with some simple veg

My computer at work broke last Tuesday.  I have finally fixed it today   Well, actually, I followed the instructions that our technical help based in France sent me by email, as our only IT guy in the UK is on holiday for a month

However, I don't seem to have access to any printers at all which is still restricting my ability to do work somewhat

Good afternoon mundanies, just a little off colour so (mostly) in lurking mode at the moment.

In mundany zombie news, I've checked with the organisers and Dawn Dog is invited to come along as a spectator, or should that be 'spectre-tator'?   (DW will be accompanying)

Surely that means we all need to come round again and drop some more off?

In mundane news England are playing and I'm still in w**k this is bad.

I do have visitors this weekend.  Maybe I should ask them to provide cheese
