KJ was the acupureutre person called ali or andy by any chance? There can't be that many around these parts and know a few of them with hippy stuff.

His name's Paul, otherwise known as Spike for reasons I didn't fathom. He's just moved premises into the building we go to for (nice) playgroup so I was introduced to him by the lady who works there.

Good work on the rearranging SC.

We have another stupid long list of things to do this weekend, probably going to visit MummyKJ too as she starts chemo next week so will be unable to see Mini & Mini2 at close range as small children are such germ breeders!

KJ are you being extra-dry when you say you don't know why the acupuncturist is called Spike?

Most things taste better when grated/sliced. Slices of apple are always nicer than a whole apple. Grated carrot is better than a whole carrot. It's a foodie enigma

And carrots taste much better when sliced into battons, but cucumber is rubbish like that (hand on chin again).

KJ caught in Hash-brain moment

Just to prove how organised I am, we're having half the village round for a BBQ tonight.  It took a while to organise.......

I've been bad.  It started off with an invitation to 10 people, but then it kind of grew a bit.  There were a few others I'd forgotten.  Anyway, it hit 16 and that was enough, when I got an e-mail saying that there was drunken conversation last week with a couple we vaguely know, who were huffy at not having been invited.  For the sake of a quiet life I invited them last Sunday, and they didn't bother replying until yesterday.  They're coming .  I've told them the dress code is shorts and flip-flops, is that really bad?

LOL at 'Spike'

Afternoon

I've just been wrestling with a vacuum cleaner. I won eventually, but I feel the moral victory must go to the Dyson.

I also like Miranda

Good luck with the mammoth barbecue (not that you'll be barbecuing mammoth... or will you?) Hash. I hope you have fun in your flip flops and short

Today has been a day of domesticity and exercise so far. I've got Strictly to look forwards to tonight. Living life on the edge

Just finished cooking, 7 minutes to spare.  Someone pass me the anti-grump potion

I can't believe that someone had to point that out to me. Oh the shame.

We've ended up having a quieter day today than anticipated, including a fun family outing to the local tip. Strictly now.

Happy Sunday DS

Hope you and Mrs P feel better soon Mr P

That actually went fine after all my fretting and grumping, and I needn't have worried about not having done enough food, if I could freeze the pasta and salad stuff there would be enough left over to feed the zombie evacuators next week.

And in un-mundane and un-Hashlike news, I was still awake and partying at 1.30am, oooh get me

I've read back about 15 pages cos I couldn't sleep and I missed you, but now all the things I might say are very irrelevant so I'll just wave happily instead
