Fingers crossed that D's appointment goes well Mouse

 +1 for that!

I bought some new tree lights today. They are tiny LED ones in little clusters. It took me quite sometime to unravel them to make sure they worked, then I had to wind them back up again as we haven't got a tree to put them on yet... so I guess there will be some more un-ravelling and under-the-breath-cursing when we do finally get a tree.

They look very pretty and sparkly though

I adore fairy lights. Love, love, love 'em

D has a CT scan tomorrow. Is now on tramadol for pain. See if that makes a difference.

I think, of course I could be wrong, but I think it's just a reaction to the PPI's that he was on.

(((mouse)))  Fingers crossed for something definitive that helps 'D'.

Do you think fairys just call them lights?

12/12/2012 at 19:46

Fairies can call them whatever they like, they're pretty and they sparkle (the lights that is, not the fairies. Although they might sparkle too, I've never seen one...)

I'm making gluten free dumplings - I'll report back.

How do you do it without using suet?

Ahhh, I've never managed to make GF dumplings so make mini scones instead and call it a cobbler
12/12/2012 at 21:31

I'll keep trying! The flour is just so wrong for the job

Dang it Saffy, I could have got you sellotape for your Secret Santa present instead of the... oh wait...

12/12/2012 at 21:55
Which flour are you using?

Good Morning. Bit chilly this morning again. Forecast says it's going to warm up and pee down. Oh the joy of it.

I had fun doing something new yesterday. Wish I'd done it before. (only crafty stuff but fun). Now I need a little project. Going to learn how to run this evening. That should be fun.

Have a good day one and all. Stay wrapped up and warm. I prescribe a fresh pot of tea and maybe even a biccie or two.

Morning all - likewise on the weather here Mouse...I still only have one SS pressie so still don't know which group it's from...ah well

I like dumplings (mines are really nice - but I don't have to battle with the wrong flour)

I make a stew with shin of beef that cooks for 3-4 hours and then I throw in a bunch of home made dumplings at the end and we all go like this

My Train was on time for the first time this week  only to find that there was no heating, so I was freezing cold

oh and I forgot to bring my packed lunch this morning, doh

It was green bin day today and bin was succesfully put out onto the street, this may have been the reason for forgetting my lunch

13/12/2012 at 09:27

GFB - I think the pressie is the RW one going by the description I was given. I'll get on the case later and see if I can work out what's happened

13/12/2012 at 10:08

Im really glad I just started looking at this, I love fairies and sparkly lights too, I dont do dumplings life is already complicated enough....... xxxx

13/12/2012 at 10:20

Morning all. You didn't put your lunch IN the bin did you Tommy?!!

I hope D will soon feel better, Mouse.

I have been out for a bimble and my calf no longer hurts, huzzah! Just got to get my hip sorted now...

I have a new roll of Sellotape but it's not as sticky as the old roll, presents are unsticking themselves faster than I can wrap them.

It's quite mild here today, certainly not as balticly icy as yesterday.

Hello there Lucy

13/12/2012 at 10:24

*waves to Lucy* I know a Lucy Martin, I wonder if you're the same one?

Yay for your non-hurty calf small!

It's freeeeeezing here today. Sub-zero temperatures, freezing fog and lots of ice. Everything is white. I even had to de-ice the inside of my windscreen this morning!
