I've been baking things
Morning all - sad news here in Furball land - MrGFB's dad had another major fall - this has led to a massive brain bleed - he's got DNR orders as he's in advanced alzheimers...it's just a matter of time till he passes (latest reports this morning BP 80/40 - HR 90 and he's snoring!!)
sounds tough GFB
(((gfb))) Sad news indeed.
Hold on Cake I've made this cake this morning - not massively thrilled with it but it'll have to do
That cake looks fab SOLB. Are you going to share.
GFB, sorry to hear that. Had to do the DNR for David.
(((Mr & Mrs GFB))) xxx
((hugs for Mousey)) - that's a hard thing to do.
Thanks for the hugs you guys.
Well I was rather hoping to Pacman the whole cake myself but I guess as everyone is sad I could share .... maybe
Sorry GFB, (())
So sorry to hear about MrGFB's dad.Hugs for Mouse too ((()))Life really is rubbish sometimes isn't it?I am feeling somewhat better thank you for asking Hash, I still can't smell which is a little bit of a problem!Cake/Bookie (& everyone else round here) - are you doing the Sheff half? We thought we'd come down and watch if we might bump into people we know.
So sorry to hear your news GFB, lots of (((hugs))) and love to you and yours.
*waves to anosmic KJ* Me and Cake will be in Stratford upon Avon doing the triathlon there - I think it'll be the first time in several years that Cake hasn't done the Sheffield half!
I bought tickets to the new Star Trek film for tomorrow. In 3D
Oh hell ((Mouse)) and ((GFB)) xxSarah I can't wait to see the new trekkie fllm, let me know what you think of it. I saw the last (technically first) one and was so blown away with it I wanted to applaud at the end.
Hugs to both of you and yours.
Sorry to hear your news GFB - our weekends are full of transporting my dad in and out of hospital at the moment - when we're not dragging Mova's mum out in a wheelchair so she can moan about things that haven't happened (er, I might be getting "care fatigue" here )
On a less mundane note, the ACTUAL Cliff Thorburn was practicing in my club tonight. Luckily I was playing darts, so I didn't get to risk total humiliation on the snooker table.
Bloody tired, missing my running training session this evening, stuck at work till hubby finishes up at work (its 6:15pm) - all pants.
DESPERATELY need a vacation now..... been saying this for weeks. Sick to death of work and bloody deadlines...
Vent, vent, vent........

It's a shame this clashes, I'd have loved to have done this with you guys and taken this last chance to start from inside Don Valley Stadium.
