I thought I posted last night but clearly didn't! MrKJ has had today off as he's going away on Sunday, we've had a lovely day in the parks and the sunshine.

(((KJ))) That sounds really good

I'm fairly sure a cat is supposed to have 3 different names.

The name the family call it every day.

A name that's more particular that reflects its dignity.

...and finally; a name that only the cat itself knows.

Oh forgot to add, I will be mainly watching plastic ducks race each other down the River Derwent today - it's a strange old life sometimes.

Ah yes, DS,  a cat is always thinking of His ineffable effable, effanineffable, deep and inscrutable singular name.

I don't think we had any of those Mr P. We might have borrowed them from the library though. Six dinner Sid is still in the house along with the Lighthouse Keepers Cat and various other tales too good to lose.

Love it

I thought Artimus Pyle was a good name for a chicken until I heard myself saying "Artimus, don't do that".  Move over Joyce Grenfell.

Hello, well what do you expect with all this sunshine, everyones making the most of it. I have had a very exhausting day sitting in the garden.  I have eaten cheese as well.

I am still doing housework, I did gardening this afternoon so still playing catch up on the domestics.

Off to hoover the downstairs, then cook tea.

I still say Artimus Pyle is the best name for a chicken I've ever heard.

Plans to make it to a Parkrun for the first time this morning came to nothing as I overslept.  Mustn't do that tomorrow as I'm on a 'Leadership in Running Fitness' course in Derby.

Haven't been making the most the sunshine as we haven't had any here.

How were the ducks DS?

I've r*n again today, it's not exactly what people might call speedy but it's a start!

Well done KJ I haven't runned but I have sunned, and gardened and we're having broad bean pods for tea.

Don't forget to hoover the drive as well.

i have arranged for my friend to come and cut our long grass next week. In return I will help him trim the verges in the village.

We're down to just one now thanks to a fox.  Don't know whether to shut her in and keep her safe and miserable, or let her free and risk her being taken too.   If I was her I'd choose the second, but can't ask her.

In happier news, LR will relate to this.   Bernie's back in Gorky Park

Excellent news.

Ah, what a shame Artimus has been left on her own.  She's a bit like her human namesake in outliving all the others though.

I'm sure everyone else is shouting 'what about Gary Rossington' instead of 'what on earth is he is on about'.

Fo be fair you wouldn't have thought it.
