I don't care how, but I do not want to miss the biggest sporting spectacle I'll ever have the opportunity of seeing.

I wonder which are going to be the best events to try and see, for the sake of sporting spectacle and atmosphere?

The Marathon ? I think we should set up a support station at Mile 17 !

I quite fancy watching the 1500, 5000, 10000 but may well just do it on the telly. Oh, and the Pole Vault.

Can just hear Brendon Foster as he screams in disbelief as the front runners swerve of the road lured by cake handed out by us!

My sister's been saving her loose change since the day after London won it so they can afford to go and watch the track cycling.

Well I`m only half an hour away and I`m definitely taking three weeks off in 2012 to
be there. Its a once in a lifetime opportunity and this will be the last time this country
might even have a Olympic Games. God knows we waited since 1948!

Don`t worry. There will be constant 24 hour TV coverage as well as online, mobile and
big screens around the country. No one will miss a thing.

I understand Haile Gebrselassie reularly uses coffee and walnut sponge on his long training runs.

I know, runnerman.

I'm thinking of taking a three-week holiday to a distant country with no televisions for the duration.

Anyone want to rent my flat?  Half an hour from Stratford..... very reasonable rate

Only if it comes with a ginger bearded weirdo.

Very reasonable rate!

I`m guessing the distant country is France. Ooh la la.

I doubt that would be far enough, rm.  More like a tiny island in the South Pacific that has no electricity.

Don, I think the ginger bearded weirdo will probably want to stay behind, so for you - yes.

Picture it. August 2012. Sky grey and little bit of drizzle and you get all of this
