Would anyone else like to play this later on, tonight?

Yes but ive no one to play with, aside from that youd be wasted in 30 minutes

Doh, im guessing that was your plan

Indeed Mr B. Considering the plan for the opening ceremony it could be better to be wasted after 30 minutes rather than sit through 2 hours of it!

Only if you promise not to know the national anthem of Burundi.

27/07/2012 at 09:59

Promise.

I was thinking: A country's uniform is so bad that they look embarassed could be worse. Especially considering the Egyptian team's confession and the apparent 'outcry' from the US that their outfit is "too European"

I'm sure that with Danny Boyle it'll be an absolutely inspiring show but I after a few countries parading through - I tend to switch off a little.

I hope the interesting stuff is before the endless parade of athletes, because that is really quite dull after the first couple.

I can't see me sitting through all that, then up to midnight, without falling asleep.

Maybe they'll do the athlete parade first? to keep the audience "tuned in"?

I've been told that the interesting stuff is on first - someone who's in the show has told a colleague that he's "on" at about ten past nine

Eritrea. Oops, think I switched off somewhere around A.

Danny Boyle's stuff was definitely worth watching. Now I'm just finishing off my wine so I can head of and get some sleep before we get something other than the Bee Gees.
