Nearly the end of January and the wagon train keeps rolling on - well done, everyone. Don't feel you have to leave the wagon because it's February: in the past, this thread has been lively and funny all year round and it can be so again.

Morning

Last day well done everyone I am planning a big continued reductiong in my alcohol intake its too many empty calories

Pay day to day and supposidly men coming to look at my boiler so I can hav eheating soon - first tow haven't turne dup yet although the second is only 15 mins late

Come on everyone! Just because you got through January and we are now into February doesn't mean the thread has to die a death!!

The beans are on, the campfire is warm and inviting and the cushions are plumped up and comfortable.

I think the lady to the right of me at Pilates last night must have been at the beans. I had to stifle a snigger a couple of times when she parped rather loudly

One night of alcohol a week for me in February. I'm afraid with social commitments it might all go to a ball of fluff in March & April

very cold here, must say I do rather fancy a large mug of mulled wine! Still, I shall go and put another log on the fire and finish my book. Hubby is on the way down to our other house in Bavaria to check on the heating system and make sure everything else is ok. I chickened out - it's much too cold down there for me! Think I'll make a big pot of potato-leek soup for tomorrow, anyone fancy a bowl with some garlic bread?
