See my halo there?   Had a difficult day, took Mr Soup to A&E and they've admitted him. Called at the supermarket on my way home feeling very sorry for myself and him and picked up 3 bottles of ale marked 3 for £5. Got to the check-out and decided to put them back in favour of Becks Blue. Drinking it now.

Its getting easier.

Happy 3 weeks!

I managed to fend off the official most depressing day with a 14k run. My first ever run in the snow, I loved it

Chin up Soup Dragon (it'll help keep that halo in place) I hope Mr SD is home soon.

Nice running K80!

Sorry to hear you had such a bad day k80, its amazing though how a good run can turn things around in the mind. Not been running much at all recently as just seem to have so much on with work and sorting out a new house etc.
Kev, I think your the threads official early riser!

Karate kid version: Wagon on, wagon off, wagon on, wagon off, wagon on....it's been a strugggle but feeling better for  the cutbacks

Evening. I had a mini bottle of red wine this evening. I bought 2 and resisted the second in favour of hot chocolate. Reading the drinkaware guide.  I reckon I'm psychologically dependent that I need to work on.

firmly off the wagon do I care? probably should but tbh, nope

Hi SD - good on you resisting the second!

Loon - keep on trying?

For those who are on the wagon just for Jan - there is only 1 week to go!
24/01/2013 at 10:03

Morning. I over indulged last night. Oh well, the next 2 nights off to compensate then.

Loon - want a hand back on?

24/01/2013 at 14:38

Off again but back on on Monday...promise

Still rolling - I will take feb a week at a time

Nearly there for most - its gone quickly hasn't it?

I think January in general just drags on an on and on and on.....

Well done everyone still on the wagon.

Maddy, how long are you aiming to be on for?

I'm just about starting to feel the benefits now.... I've also moved on to Low GI foods and I feel like I'm so healthy and full of energy.... It could also be the fact I haven't really done that much exercise lately apart from biking so I feel a bit fresher....

But yeah. No alcohol seems to agree with me so well. I'm off to a murder mystery night 22nd February and really looking forward to it with only one worry... I'll be the only one not drinking so it will be the first temptation and a  big test of the year. Hope I will cope OK.

Still going here. Gradually getting easier.

Elli - I will contimue into February and then review.  A month at a time is as less scary way of looking at it.

I need to tweak my diet - it is WAY too carb heavy at the moment - That can be Februarys add on

Considering I well and truely fell off last Fri & Sat, my seatbelt is definitely done up this weekend.  I am feeling very strong and have no intention of slipping again.  I do have a Becks blue ready just in case.  I only have 1 more week to go until the Thames Trot which is the whole reason for my dry-January.

Good luck to everyone this weekend.
