Does anyone know what that lovely, very simple French potato dish is called? The one where you thinly slice potatoes and layer them with onions (and maybe tomatoes?) I've got an urge to make it for dinner and want to get it right. Tummy's rumbling now!

Hmmmm, don't think it is Dauphinoise, it's not a creamy one, just very simple.

Ha! Don't know what it's called, or how to cook it. I guess I'll just make it up as I go along, although the dauphinoise is looking pretty tasty!

You guys are quick!

There is a recipe in the Dordogne that uses thinly sliced potatos garlic and cream

Mmmmmmm, pesto. Did that the other night - you can't beat home made pesto, so simple and delicious.
