Im going for

2:17:40

Or

2:16 with a puke at the end(this would make me feel so much better).

i think by the time veryone puts in their prediction there won't be a second spare in 2:16 - 2:17.

i will have a stab in the dark and say 2:17:51 (unless she turns around and starts running forward, then it will be quicker).

Can someone remind me:

(a) what the current World Record is, and

(b) which TV channel is showing the race?

Thank you!

I think that PB is developing a bit of a 'thing' for Paula :-)
11/10/2002 at 09:49
The current world record is 8seconds faster than she ran London in, so it is 2.18 something...! Sorry I can't help you more but I am sure that PB knows!

It is being shown on BBC2 @ 1.30pm.

My prediction is 2:16:54

Who could blame PB she's an absolute herione and 100% English beef.

2:16:47

But surely the *real* world record is her London time because she did it in a women-only race? Or is this a discussion you have already had and I wasn't paying attention?

My prediction is 2:20:34 - not because I don't believe in her but because I don't want to tempt fate by too high an expectation.

I think I read somewhere it's a mixed race? In which case, I'm going to be positive and go for 2:15:57.

Conditions have to be perfect for a p.b. and many things can upset the best laid plans.

2hr 19 mins would be magnificient.
11/10/2002 at 10:23
2.16.43

And I claim my five pounds.
11/10/2002 at 11:06
As I'm still sulking about my injury I'm gonna predict DNF - Paula in the broom wagon.
