Emmy good idea ... Just popping off to work so I'll update as soon as I can

I am pleased there is still a level of interest out there

Please don't let the best tradition on the RW forums die out.

I wouldn't be where I'm now without the DD / Minni sub 3:30 thread

+1 for the RW mentoring being a fanastic thing ... I was in last years looking to improve my mara PB and the legend that is Dubai Dave, guided me through to not only smash my PB , but also my target time and way beyond.

I would seriously recommend anyone gives it a go, especially those who's training (like mine) may be lacking a bit of structure and knowledge.

Don't mean to change the subject - but WHERE has everyone gone and WHY? Is it that place which sounds like a command to a dog? and is it because this place became boring without D2D?

What do we need to do to apply? (Please note I have been warned not to send pictures of my underwear to strangers)

Keep an eye out for the thread and submit a pitch to state your worthinness

General rules are usually to have a spring/summer marathon place, we moved away from a VLM place to give every one a chance  !

I've not really noticed anyone leaving but I mainly stick to the marathon thread.  I use that 'dog stick' place to log my runs but I don't partake in any chat - I don't understand how their forums work for starters.  Better the devil you know and all that.

Keir, you need to do a pitch - yes, sell yourself.   Bit on background, target, current training etc.  Show some pictures of your kids!

It got me under 3:30 a couple of years ago.  I needed someone to keep me on the straight and narrow - DD failed in that respect  but did push me to 3:28.

Who's going to organise the free running shoes?

You can have a pair of my old ones (low mileage) and I'll chuck in a pair of socks as well!

I've always liked following the Forum 6 threads to see the contrast in advice (in a good way - positive)

I have a pair of Asics gel foundations that I can't use anymore.. 30 miles in them (if that)... and to make it fair - i've got a few spare race t-shirts that i've never worn as team kit

usually the wait until the official people have been chosen for a shortlist.then those who were not shortlisted can put their names in the hat..............it is never before december.....it part of the christmas cel;ebrations.....so i would think in 3 or 4 weeks time.....you will just have to keep on logging on every day to check

However, your answer now means I am even more excited
