Running Eye Dublin is a good marathon in October. I've not done any UK marathons in the Autumn so not sure about any of them.

Didds shame you'll be missing Hillsborough parkrun #1 but on the plus side I'll finish one place higher now

Shame Didds. Means you will miss the playboy cheerleaders and massages by the spearmint rhino dancers.

*the above may just be sexist fiction but Didds won't know if it is or isn't.

Cor good effort Didds . New bird?!

I'll have a massage from one of teh spearmint rhino dancers is there's one going?

Though sadly think I'll miss the innaugural Hillsborough parkrun too as kids have friends for sleepovers - the boys would get up and come, but the girls are planning an all nighter so doubt they'll be iany fit state! Good luck with it though Gaz and we'll bobby along to one soon. I'll stick a note on the SP FB page now to remind everyone.

No Moz, no Didds, no Stu at Hillsborough Me, Cake and Giro it is then. And I get to finish a couple of places higher up

Running home from work for the first time in about two years tonight. Hoping to be able to do it 2/3 times a week in the run up to SIGISHM2K13 and possibly start increasing the distance as I get fitter/the nights get lighter.

Looking forward to the full race review Baz. Be sure to be frank and honest, I'm sure nobody on here would take it personally!

It's only going to be Baz, Cake and Giro at the parkrun. Frank isnt going......

Afternoon folks,

Hillsborough parkrun was fun 28.50 but didn't struggle as much as I expected going up the hill for the third time. GIRO's done a good job with the parkrun

04/02/2013 at 14:09

Well done Giro and all you runners!

Had a look through all the pics, great to see so many familiar faces both running and helping out.

Good work GI! How does the course compare with others locally in the minds of the runners?

Afternoon folks

ET - it's a good one. Nice wide starting path so the field spreads out quickly and means it isn't as congested as Endcliffe. It's not as hilly as Concord so it'll be a bit quicker. No idea how it compares to Graves as I've not done it yet.

Who'll be doing Hillsborough #2? I'll be staying local and doing one round here this week

I'm aiming for Hillsborough parkrun #3, got the Inter-Club XC on Sunday and I thought I'd make a surprise appearance so everyone can go - 'Are you new?'

Of the 3 I think Graves is the toughest, but its close with Concord.  Don't go to Endcliffe anymore due to the congestion. I think the Rother Valley one will be the easiest when it starts, especially if you can get on the HS2 for part of the run .

Good stuff. I must attempt one one of these days. Been pleased with my 5k races so far.!

Great fun at the Inter Club XC yesterday - 5.5m of mud, mud and more mud.

Felt good to be back doing a proper race (only did 2 last year) so was a little nervous but felt fit and strong - which was nice and positive for me and just what i needed at the moment.

Glad I chose to wear my Innov8 Mudrocs though, anything less would have been very difficult in those conditions - even my Salomon Speedcross would have struggled.

Went to Fat Club last night - now lost a total of 19lbs in 5 weeks so well chuffed with that.

And only 43 days till we fly to Orlando - even better.

Top work on the weight loss Diddz! And where was the XC?

I weighed myself at the weekend and am pretty much where I thought I was despite 6 months+ of v little running. Now back into it with no real pain/discomfort. Overdid the ice last night though and got a burn on me foot. doh! Gym tonight.

Anyone doing Wombwell 5 on Sunday?

Wombwell 5miles on Sunday? :-O
F### me that's snuck up on me.

I wanted to do it but scheduled to run for 2:30hr on Friday.

This may be a Sunday morning decision.

ET - it was the Handsworth XC as part of the inter club XC series.  It was in Beaver Hill Woods which is near the SY Fire Service Training centre near Woodhouse - very muddy
