Next Wednesday???

Christ I had people's race diaries for 3 months in advance to fix a date for the South West Social (Exmouth Summer Beach Fest) and you lot just say "next Wednesday"?  It shouldn't be this easy...  LOL!!

And who are you calling "Nan"...??

Nam - next Wednesday is I guess a training social rather than a drinking social (although I guess drinking could be integrated for rehydration purposes!)

The main Sheffield social will be a lot bigger!

I would come along tonight, Cake, but for some extremely odd reason (especially as it's so warm and sunny) I'm absolutely gagging to some speedwork  (when the feck does that normally happen?) which I kinda need to do at my own individual pace.

Hopefully it'll take off as a regular weekly occurrence though - I'd definitely be up for that.

*washed mouth out with smelly sock*

Sorry, haile - it's just that I seem to have stopped getting any faster, so I sometimes feel the need to at least attempt to do something about it!

I don't know - my mental state's a little wayward at the moment; that's probably why I'm so keen to do it when normally it's the first type of training that goes out the window!

Speedwork rocks... in fact I did a speed session last night!

Cake - is the main entrance the one by the Hunters Bar round about? i could be tempted tonight.

Haha nah seriously though it was great to get out with Cake and Haile tonight, hopefully I'll be able to make it next week as well. Great new route for me as well!

Glad you had fun, boys - looking forward to next week (maybe we could go for a run then have fish finger sarnies and cider LOL).

I decided to do a fartlek session - went well, but came back beetroot-faced though. Great to get out!

Sounds like you had fun on your boys run

I was supposed to be swimming last night but my arm was still incredibly achey from the injection I had the other day

I didn't realise until I went to the docs for something else and they told me I'd never had it! I think I've been to the docs about 3 times in the last 5-8 years.... I'm never ill!

Anybody thought about what we might do / where we might wanna go for the social?

A big beer garden is great at this time of year as is a good 'ol BBQ but that would require a willing host... I would volunteer but I don't have a BBQ!

Have we got a date for the social?
05/06/2008 at 14:25

Don't think so.... I'm getting ahead of myself.
