This lady tries and fails at her third attempt.

Some things are just not humanly possible I guess or they are but most peolpe are not inclind to give it a try.

i'm utterly impressed with her. If you see some of the pictures of her - she looks in a really bad way coming out of the water.

According to one report - the main reason that they brought her out was for the safety of her team as they couldnt get the sharks that were circling her to move away

It pretty amazing just to be able to swim for 40 + hours in shark infested waters. Totaly mad if you ask me but some huge display of courage and endurance

It was her 4th attempt.  She looked in a bad way from the jellyfish stings.

This article says there's an Australian Susie Maroney who has this in her palmares (as well as a 123 mile swim from Maxico to Cuba

If you read any article on Ultra Marathon's you will see loads of people who have tried and failed many times. In the end they succeed, well most of the time, but the journey itself becomes as important as completing...
