Dragon breath, I thought I was the only person in the world to have read
The Forgotten soldier by Guy Sajer
A real eye opener & sight into his life. I read it in 1984 whilst apple picking in New Zealand, it was the only thing left in my room from the previos years occupier, with a note sayng "read me".

My fav's are still the Lotr & the Hobbit

Another fan of LotR & the Hobbit

Also all the Harry Potter books. When's the next one out - it supposed to be last Autumn pre film release then postponed to this summer but still no sign of it.

And most Charlotte Bronte but particularly Pride & Predjudice.

Oops how embarrasing - that should of course be Jane Austen.

Bring back the edit feature.

Hmm LOTR and the Silmarillion accounted for much of my teenage years, also anything by Alistair Maclean

Obviously Hitch Hikers series & Voltaires Candide, To kill a Mockingbird and most writings by Kafka and Camus.
Currently reading Lord of the flies (bought it about a year ago having waited years to get a copy) - absolute disappointment.
Never read Harry Potter or Lord of the rings

Read a bit of James Herbert and Stephen King when I was a mere schoolboy.Always thought Herbert was better .

Generally prefer non fiction (science/travel)

Lord of the Flies a disappointment??????Hmmmm...

Voltaire's Candide is funny, as well as being very rude.
