I am, but that just comes from years of martial arts training, I will never make a proper triathlete though as i can't quite get my head up my own arse.

Very good at feet in mouth though.

I'm going to have my feet in the clouds tomorrow, on the top of Scafell Pike if the weather is half descent.

Its a fantastic walk, it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up just thinking about it. It really is quite majestic and the fells are so massive its breathtaking. Its a shame that most of the population just want to sit in the car in a car park an look at the view, rather than seeing it all at close quarters.

There are small tarns which are so beautiful, its difficult to put into words. And its free if you just put in a bit of effort.

I agree, apart from the bit about most of the population getting out there. We don't want a bunch of idiots trampling all over the place and dropping litter, pretty soon everyone will want to do it and it will become as common as IM racing!

Really wish I lived closer to the bumpy bits of this country.

Haile never been up Scafell but have skirted tebe ottom when attempting the Wordsworth Way (partner at the time wimped out because of the rain so we didn't get round it all) Its on my list to do though and with a partner who will actually go up the hills instead of round them. The lakes and fells are beautiful - damn haven't been walking for a couple of years one of my little ambitions is to go up something tall with my contacts in - you have to have spent a lifetime wearing glasses to understand that

I'm hoping to be camping nr Aberdeen soon - 2T or anyone, any advice on good places?
I'll be on my own so don't want anything too extreme or off the beaten track.

trying to work out costs & logistics (i am getting a Proper Job so might be able to afford it, but i need to think about Time Off & suchlike weird stuff).
But would be fun!

the main problem seems to be getting in with someone who will do the driving - thats what I've been lucky enough to do.

I reckon £100 for the races max, £150 for ferry, petrol and accomodation. Not quite a 'Holiday for £10' promotion in the Sun but still a lot of bangs for your buck I reckon.

hmmm - i don't drive, & very few of my friends do, & none of them has a car.
hmmmmmmm... this needs further thought.
