I've always wanted to do the Three Peaks fellrace, which is more of a x-country run that a fell race, but the cut-offs are a bit severe for a plodder like what i is. 23 miles i think.

I must admit I had no interest in the BG untill last night when I started reading feet in the clouds, if I ever write a book about my exploits I will call it 'feet in the mouth'

TMW, smiffy is doing the Caesar's salad 100miler later this year, so if you need any advice he's your man.

Even though he is very rude, annoying, and fat he has been known to share a bit of his wisdom to the needy.

Its those darned cut-offs Andrew, the first one at Ribblehead is ok but its the one 2/3rds of the way round which catches everyone out. I might need to get some speed in my legs/strength in my ankle before i have a bash, maybe '08.

L. I've got to ween myself gently back into 'civilisation' (not sure that is the appropriate word). Sorry about talking shop.

Anyway back to important stuff, there is a Chippy that i pass occasionally which had the most fantastic name, typical dry northern wit, 'ww.inthenet.cod', unfortunately it has now had a name change to'Codrophenia'.

ok, so you've got to drive past to appreciate it.

M1 we must be twins! Because so have I!!

Went to the local reservoir with my neighbour who has got a canoe. We crept down to the waters edge hopeing we wouldn't get spotted as it is very naughty. Bit wierd swimming up and down on my own, with no one to deflect the thoughts of THE DEEP abyss below.

Anyway because i am a legend for being 'well'ard' in the area i was pleased my neighbour didn't hear my sobs or see the tears.

So we are going to be having another go sometime. Bring on the drout pleeeeeeeease.

Just got an email from some bloke/coach whatever...with a training plan for a marathon.

Its very funny because it states run 5 times in one whole week, yes 5 times! I dont think i've ran that many times since Christmas. And also 2hrs on sunday, is that supposed to be all in one go, or can i split it up into 4x30mins?

Anyway i suppose i ought to give it a try if i want to beat my 7hr pb.

02/08/2006 at 21:05

02/08/2006 at 23:35
