Sorry to hear the news about the Scruffalump Jj.

Thanks for the advice Mrs F- I'm still slightly hay-fevery/back end of a cold, so getting plenty of involuntary stretches in.  Best wishes to Mr F for a speedy recovery.

toad in the hole is just yorkshire pud with sausages, no?  I'm not that keen on yorkshire pud, so wouldn't choose to have it for my dinner

'tis done. We're in bits. Jjunior and I were a snotty mess. Vet and nurse were gorgeous. Scruffles was dignified and gentle to the end.

soz to here that Jj

even when it's time in your head for a pet to pass, it's never time in your heart for them to go

our dog died naturally, one day he just wouldn't eat or leave his basket at all, my Mum stayed with him in the kitchen overnight and then in the morning he crawled out of his basket and died on the kitchen floor. my last memory of him was a month before when he came to my student house, running upstairs and around the garden to explore a new place and being very excited. better than at the end.

Not insensitive at all, Chav - just part of the conversation. and your head and heart comment was lovely, and so true.

I feel so sad for my friends today.  Those who are helping their family members through hard times and those who have lost furry family members too.

I have cried for my friends more than once this week.

Funny you should say that Mouse as normally I am quite hard emotionally, but once or twice today I have shed a tear or two over Jj's posts here and on FB.  I do wonder whether I am not as over my loss as I thought I was

I dont know Schmunks, I suspect most of us have been through it in one way or another even if, like Chav it harks back to childhood memories it will normally trigger some feelings

Animals are such a worry

That reminds me, Schmunks, on a slightly different theme, we've often discussed hugger versus non huggers on here.  It occured to me about 10 mins after I gave you a huge hug at IMW that you were a non hugger and I had mahoosively invaded your personal space.  Was that so?
