Blimey, debbo - I'm most impressed. In a mad moment I told myself I was going to do that September thing, then by the 3rd I realised what a silly idea it would have been.
Mrs F, I'm telling myself that the CP10 is simply a training run in my comeback, as it's perfectly timed for my earlier stated "do ten miles easily again". The only aim I have for the race itself is NOT to appear on the last page of the results...
Debbo, I too am impressed Spotty, I did a lap of RP, 7.25 miles, slowest I've ever done it but never mind (I fear I will be on the last page of the results for the CP10). I also got drowned for 7 of those miles, which seems to be what always happens to me at RP...I did however have a very nice piece of cake afterwards...so every cloud and all that...
it's not that impressive - my monthly total was only 93 miles - lots of days I only did 2 miles
I'm doing that 'run every day for a year' Likey's challenge thing - don't know why
I'd like some cake, but I soon have to cook a fish and prawn and spinach stew and then go to work for the night
I have swum for an hourBike 15 mins to warm up for a 30 min run and then 30 mins in the gym/row/weight departmentJob done. Its now nearly bedtime and I havent had my tea ...
You are all bizzy training bees. I'm a beginner all over again. I think I only managed 50 miles or so in September - but as that's a lot more than in the previous two months I'm taking that as a positive. And aiming for 70+ in October. Back to normal by the end of the year, I hope.
Jj - you and me both. I am going to to 5k every other day in October as a small step to bigger things
In other news, I think Fat Cat and Ginger Whinger's previous owner is finding it hard to 'let go'. He has mailed me pictures of him with them as kittens and mails me almost every day to ask how they are. When I didn't return calls and texts this weekend, he mailed me today and said he was really concerned and would like to visit to make sure all is ok.
+1 to the "beginner" comment Spotty. I have run more in the last 4 days (i.e. 13 miles over two runs) than I ran in the previous couple of weeks...so it's all good. Let's be positive together.
One day you'll look back on the little things and realise they were the big things. This is my new "mantra", for want of a better word...I saw this in a shop last week. I liked it.
Difficult situation there Schmunks ....
schmunkee...difficult......I would be tempted to say that if he visits it is going to confuse and disturb the cats......
assure him that they have settled in and are happy..............but that if they se him now then it might make not be in the cats best interests.........
I have finished middle sons bedroom and it looks good..............problem is that i feel the need to spring clean coming on..............i want to redecorate the living room.new carpet..cutains sofa the lot
Its catching Seren, I have started on the upstairs today ... I am making a conscious effort to throw a few things out this year
alright...........I have just ordered a cheap large and small settee............so I'm looking for tips to get blue paint of radiators , pipes and wood............or shall I just add another couple of layes of white paint to the lauyers of paint on already
i'm a;so going swimming Mouse
**Crawls into Wing with gwenblankie**Was at A&E with Shannon until 4am. BOTH knees had dislocated . I'm really not cut out for this.Going back to bed soon. Will run later. I'm sure it's the only thing which keeps me sane!!!
Sounds like a real pain, Schmunks. I would go with Seren's response first, and then Mouse's if he doesn't listen.
oh Hope - that sounds awful. Poor Shannon and poor mummy. Nothing hurts us like our kids' pain, eh? xx
Yikes, poor Shannon. What happened?
I have swum, I am working, I have a plumber here.
Run planned for later. First week of a proper routine seems to be going well so far.
Time for lunch *rumbles loudly*
It's just a part of her problems Mouse. Thanks girls x
Oh managed a 7.5 mile run on less than 3 hours sleep, at 8mm pace... so it's not all bad
wow.that was fast Hope
i have been looking at carpets.........things are moving
