no appointment necessary!
Having tonsils out isn't a bad op. Not like your version of ops anyway
seren, you'll get it back soon enough
They were going to whip mine out at some stage after numerous bouts of tonsilitis ... then I had GF and they considered whipping out other parts instead when that became a bit nastyThey got nuffin
*folds paws protectively over spleen coz they nearly got that from me, too*
I still gots me tonsils! See?
Yep ... thats the one!I think my cat has been on the smelling salts .. he has gone a leeeetle bit crayzeee
Lol !! I would have said 'wisdom teeth'
Morning.I think my coffee was a little strong this morning
Cas.if you ahve to have the tonsils out..you could say that they have regrown from the last op
I am shattered today after a late night( well not too late but i was asleep soundly ) ..rescue operation for eldest son.....
not some rough pub or dodgy nightclub..............my son gets drunk, is sick in the toilets and falls asleep in a casino..........
got to find out where his inhaler , phone and wallet are this morning.someone took them for safe keeping no doubt..although he could remember giving his wallet to an adult friend whilst still half sober so that he wouldn't spend money in the casino....
on the 30 min drive home he talked more to me........well muttrered during trying to sleep with his head in a bowl........than he has in months
I have a nice late start this morning (which obviously means a late finish!!) so I had a leisurely breakfast and coffee and a Twitter catch upHave sold something which I only put on eBay last night which is good news and that goes in to the vet sock which needs to be full by the end of the week, I do like putting a 'buy it now' price but when it goes so quickly I do wonder if I should have put it on for more, but thats just greedFingers crossed for the other 2 items please
Really got to get to grips with FleaBay. Jjunior's tried a couple of times to flog stuff but has priced it too high (won't listen to mummy) and so she's never sold anything. lol.
Well. I put my run off today until 10.30am coz that's the sort of time we race. Hah. I did five miles. It's undoubtedly psychological but I felt as though there was no way I could hold that (ridiculously slow!) pace for twice the distance. You may want to rethink your running partner, Mrs F!
I may be wrong (I usually am) but I'm given to understand that having one's tonsils out is considered to be a much more difficult and major op when you're older than when you're a tiddler and that they really don't like to perform it on people much older than their teens.
I'm fine ta.....
ooo - not been here for weeks. does it still smell of stale cat piss??
the reason for my visit is to find out which if you lot (bar Moldy - I know about her) are coming down to Beachy Head maraslog and need a washing line to sleep on. hands up please....
and - re: having one's tonsils out as an adult. I had one removed during my cancer issue back in 2006 - it was suspected to be the focus of the tumour but as it turned out it wasn't. so I am now uni-tonsilar in the throat department..... yes- it was uncomfy, but I recovered from it pretty quickly - that was my 2nd GA in 2 weeks and I had a 3rd 2 weeks later to remove a wisdom tooth in prep for radiotherapy. (3 GA's in 5 weeks did kind of batter me about though - I took longer to recover from the 3rd)
I can't say that the tonsil removal was a difficult op, or that the surgeon who removed it told me that I would find it tough post-surgery. maybe it would have been worse if I'd had both out? dunno - it was what it was at the time.
Spotty...I've been in bed for 4 days with the lurgy...actually, I went out yesterday all day to stand in my thermals in the freezing cold, which was possibly not the wisest decision but my 4 days off were totally ruined otherwise. I have not run in ages. Therefore, oh Leopardly One, I feel it is you who may need to rethink. If I make it to halfway I will be amazed! I won't mind when you drop me
The lurgy has finally got me!! I've been keeping it at bay with First Defense and VitC for a good week, but shivering half naked for 30 mins at the start of the race yesterday has sealed the deal. Much snot and a nasty sore throat. On the plus side I can just let it happen and not fret. Nuffink to train for so no panic! I think Mrs.F and Jj are going to be just fine! Hope you're feeling better Mrs.F. It's dark, wet and miserable here so an evening in my fluffies under my gwenblankie is on the cards.
Blmey FB you come in here and everyone drops down with the lurgy .... Buggerorf !!!!
I too have the lurgy and can currently be found on the sofa under Jr's winter-weight duvet. He is not making a good nurse.
