no appointment necessary!
Rush are indeed Canadian, but don't make it to the top 20 of this particular site:
I think there might be some objections from North of the Border for them claiming Alexander Graham Bell as a Canuck.
Happy New Year Mr Z.
I missed Mr Z.............what are your plans for 2013
I thought the Wainrights were in the LakesI swam before work - main set 1600 in 28.58, job doneI have no niggles from yesterdays run so I shall incorporate some of the same into tomorrows escapadesI had a feeling Sheryl Crow was a Canadian too ?
Blimey Meldy, you is a fish, innit.
Sheryl Crow is American, but I had to check as I was on the verge of proposing her as a possible earlier.
Debbo, I'll allow Neil Young for his guitar playing but he has to promise not to sing (far too whiny for my taste). I'm vaguely aware of Mr Cohen but I don't think I've ever listened to one of his albums straight through. Big tick for Ms Mitchell.
new fridge freezer arriving tomorrow morning whilst i'm out doing the park run.........i will have to get up very early to empty it and move it on my own as hubby will be out doing a long run very early............
then i have to pack the car with the running and bike stuff............need a few more beers to clear this manflu
i have been at work assisting with a desk move for approx 100 people.
i've moved a lot of widescreen monitors and ache a bit. not bad for a bit of OT though
manflu felt better when exercising.............shouldn't really have gone with raised HR but the chance to have a bike ride in company in the dry somewhere differnt was too good to miss...........maybe racing the park run first of all wasn't too good.............average hr on the run 171.............average HR on the bike 160...not what fink ordered.
Seren, you should know better!I ran for 17 mins .... R1/W1 and all is well so far, did a good warm up walk to the shop first off so am logging 30 mins
Nice training and flu beating folks.
Today was a rest day for me which felt very VERY strange for a Saturday. I haven't decided if I miss Ironman training or not yet.
There appears to be a 45 minute swim on my programme for Monday
That'll be a bloody big shock to the system I'll tell you that!
It all seems to be going well so far except I'm running a bit too fast for the time I'm looking for, which is all very well at this stage but means the wheels are likely to fall off later. I can run faster than my goal pace and slower than my goal pace, but I just can't seem to hit it and maintain it. It's just going to take practice I know.
Flashers on run routes don't help the mission. I didn't half inject some speed yesterday!
45 mins swim!! ahahahahahahah
its a bit hard to keep to a specific pace with all the hills around Hope...........I have slept and retsarted on the menthol sweets......one and hour through the night did help last night
sounds promising Meldy
Yeah hopefully ... keeping it simple and steady !I ordered a new Garmin soft strap thingy that arrived today, it was a lot cheaper than most on the market that I have seen so I was thinking it could be dodgy but it all looks okI am now shoe shopping in the sales
Oh shoe shopping...fabulous!
I've got to look for some new running shoes. More money pfft!
I bought new shooes in the sale this week.they are about 6 inches high.............training will start mid september in them ready for christmas...........i was thinking of tsarting with just standing in them for 10 secs and building up slowly
Yes, I think new running shoes for me too but I have a physio 'appt' in 10 days so am going to pick his brains before I buyI get 20% discount with NB which is lucky !
Just logging my training and noticed the average HR on the run was actually higher...176
i was impressed with my time though....much faster than i thought possible for this stage
All good signs Seren .. except the HR bit of course !!I have had a productive evening so far but still have a few hours to go and I have run out off steam
