I've been out! I'm still enjoying the sense of freedom.
However 3 inch heels on long run day was a big mistake.

3 inch heels give my lower limbs a nice little break!!

Just coffee-ing up before a quick plod before back to work for the evening

Can someone stick a nose out and tell me how cold it is?
24/02/2013 at 15:19

i've spent an hour digging in the garden

That helps Cheesy

It was fecking  cold I know that much, BUT another hour done, all quite good (one step away from perfect)   I have changed or am trying to change my running style somewhat, the calf strengthening exercises I have been doing have certainly helped with the change over although I am still getting DOMs (in a good way)
The last 2 mins had a little bit of a niggle but that could be due to tiredness and a bit of loss of form I think
Concentrated on knee lift and slightly forward at the hips, certainly feels comfortable although the knee lift is a little more tiring than my usual ironman shuffle !!

Sounds like its worth the effort Meldy. Well done on another good run.
I'm on the M4. Very much wishing we were home already.

We had a good day visiting the family. It's a lot of travelling though.
Inbetween hospital and dinner at Garr's sister I had time to pick up my wedding shoesies which has made me very happy.
*yawn*
Are we nearly there yet???
Tomorrow is a day with S. on the sofa, Gwenblankie, films. I need to do a short run but other than that it will be a pyjama day. I cannot wait!

I'm back in on Wednesday Melds. No1 daughter off for the rest of the week so she can be here for S then. Fab way to spend annual leave (not) but no choice really.
I'm not happy her being home alone until she can do stairs!

morning

I'm glad its a cutback week as my right achillies is creaking a little this morning......might be the change of cleat/ foot angle is making my right leg take its share of the work ..and its objection..........so i will cut right back this week.......will try swimming later but not sure if my right knuckle wil like it.....its ok for cycling as the swimming might be just uncomfortable.......its a lot better so might just give it a try this afternoon

Good job it is a cut back week by the sounds of it Seren!
Hope, are stairs getting easier for her?

Anyone seen Schmunks yet? I want to know what she thought of the theatre!

I swam, did lots of drills and then did a timed 400 at the end of session and still did 6.50 so more than happy with thst given I am a bit tired & grumpy

Written off the rest of the day pre night shift, spent longer than intended at the pool as friend sue has had some bad news so spent time chatting to her

had a rest all day and didn't bother with a swim as other things going on..........just had a 3 mile run this evening and it felt ok but a little niggly afterwards and then i took it easy with the squash game.......hubby won the first game as i wasn't quick off the mark as i was hesitating...so i decided i had to play smarter and keep him running andf this seemed to work as i won the next 3 games

25/02/2013 at 21:39

i ran for about an hour, having not run for a few days my legs were stiff and i ran too fast, fingers crossed they sort themselves out. likely to be doing Reading HM as a friend is injured...

i appear to have found a suitable lodger so things are now moving forward...

take care seren

Good news chav!

Seren. watch that niggle .. you have history with that like I do, i'd give the running (and the squash) a good old rest for a while if I were you

Its dark and I appear to be at work

i agree with meldy
