morning all, shed building mark 2 commences shortly!!

24/03/2013 at 17:03

Brrrr you picked a cold day for it!

I medium long runned yesterday and properly long runned today, both with an early start...today I managed to get back before boy teen had even surfaced despite starting my run 25 miles from home. Lots of snow on both runs which helped keep me moving more quickly!

Ferret - were you cycling on the A25 towards Dorking today at 12.30ish? I spotted someone in pirate gear and he looked a bit like you

Is the shed finished?

Good running Cas, were you doing the Beachy course at some stage or did I imagine that one?

I so hope we see signs of Spring by the end of the week

24/03/2013 at 19:34

the shed is sort of finished. it wants another layer of felt on the roof (anyone know a good roofer by the way), and I need to raise it so the doors have clearance above the ground (a few fence posts will do the job here). then it's a question of treating it (thought maybe to the pictures with an ice cream) and putting a padlock on it

didn't even start the other things i had planned for the day due to the overrunning shed

i am very cold, very very cold. feet not got warm. time for a run and then a bath

Warning - incoming proud Mum moment

Jr and his Dad did a local 10k and his Dad beat him by only 22 secs. But the icing on the cake was Jr beat his 10k PB by more than three minutes; down from 59:38 to 56:30.

Yo, good morning all,

Just looking for some help, a colleague has asked me;

I am wanting to restock my triathlon equipment (well the wetsuits and race-suits at least) for both my wife and I. Do you know if there is a good shop I can go to? Or anywhere I can find second hand wet-suits?

Anyone know of any good places in London?

Afternoon all,

sounds like some busy and constructive weekends.  Hope the extending goes smoothly Schmunks.

Cas- yes t'was me on my way for a jaunt round Box Hill, just about warm enough going up and then slowly freezing on the down bits.  It looks like Lanza might be a bit messy.

Barlos- sorry, can't help you on the shop front.  I used to use Swim Bike Run in Windsor but they went rather spectacularly broke some years back.

Meldy...we did the beachy route a few weeks back. I ran on the North Downs Way yesterday - Ranmore Common to Guildford and back with a loop round Denbies and Westhumble

Ferret...'twas a bit chilly yesterday, wasn't it? Was so muddy on the ndw that I was going faster than some of the mtb-ers!

Barlos .. I went to a place in Hainult I think but that was many many years ago ... I would ask Flatfooted he would know somewhere

Ferret, Lanza if nothing else will be nice and warm, I care about nothing less!!!!   I have not had ONE bike session where I did not end up freezing cold

I swam today and I was awesome, I shall run tomorrow and be less so

[blunders in.......trips.....THUD..........ouch!]

hello strangers....

right - with Brighton Marathon barely over 2 weeks away, I can't remember (it's my age y'know ) who from this fred is doing it.   could someone enlighten me please??  I know (or think I know) that the following are in:

  • me and Petal
  • Holly (and Oxy)
  • Debbo
  • Artful Chicken
  • Happychap
  • Hope
  • Mrs Funkin (and Funkin?)
  • Plum

Anyone else I've missed??

And I guess the next question is - where are people staying??  Brighton I guess for most?  I also can't remember if we offered beds in GWR to anyone!!

We'd like to get a meal sorted for the night before if poss (or if people prefer - something post race) so we can have a few beers to celebrate our 60ths so if we can get numbers sorted (incl partners) I'll see if we can organise something.  If it ends up like herding cats, sod it!
