no appointment necessary!
Worry not and out of principle I refuse to pay that much. There are other half marathons I can run instead.
Blenheim Palace or Oxford or both? What say y'all in terms of preference.
Next week will be lovely Seren .... or I am not getting out of bed Wabs, I should think either of those would be nice
30 min run followed 90 mins of painting this evening...

not annoyed about the 21 seconds?
not annoyed about the 21 seconds?
No, not really- (a) I've already got a sub-4 to my name and (b) I already had the afterburners on so couldn't have gone any quicker.
Royal Parks half is indeed a lovely course, but the price has skyrocketed as they've realised how popular it is (it's the only central London half I can think of off the top of my head). I'd love to give the 50k a go, but there is no way I'm raising 1500 quid for the privilege.
Hope- it didn't come out in the conversation post Brighton, but was it just Sodium salt you were taking? Might be worth thinking about Potassium also.
salt tabs have all the minerals i believe.,not sure if she was taking these.we do....
I went to the pool today.ordered a swim and sauna and was in the changing room and thought sod it and went straight for the sauna....lost all motivation to swim
Tsk tsk Seren 55 miles on the bike IN THE SUN for me ... glorious, fecking windy but I guess I shouldnt moan about that !!
doesn't sound good junglechicken.
meldy.hope you have saved some energy to push me up the hills on sunday....Pingu and BBT had to wait for me on every hill
Sunday will certainly be interesting Seren !A sneezing chicken? Must be bird flu
I'm here all week
sub 15 stone last night.... lowest weight for some years... 3 stone off this year.... onwards and downwards
Well done Chavage ... thats some good work there, should see some results in the running as wellLooks well blustery out there at the moment .. debating a run before going back to work
TMW.excellent progress......a few people seem to be making a great effort in that department.despite this weather trying to get us down.......
wish I could join you
I need to run this morning
TMW - that is awesome! 3 stone is loads of weight, that's more than my luggage when I went on holiday the other week.
Seren - going back a few pages but.... I've just signed up for that Bike Science sportive but I went for the slower 15mph (?) average group as this tends to be closer to my speed when I do that sort of distance in training. I'm not comfortable with signing up for the mid speed group. You're still very welcome to park at mine and we can bike down together if you want but then you may have to hang around a bit for group.
there was a 14 and a 16 mph group..i was in two mind then thought in a large group the 16 mph would be better as its a good pack
i couldn't do that speed on my own.but i read it that you would be doing it as a group.hopefully no big hills.......
i'm still in two minds
Two minds about doing it at all or the group you want to be in?
Ahh it was 14 and 16 was it? Looking at my recent stats, when I rode with club last weekend in the crappy weather we did 80 ish miles with some hills and our average pace was almost bang on 15mph. I'd rather be relaxed than pushed, hence picking the slower group.
two minds about which group........i wanted to be pushed as i felt that 16 in the group was more like 14 on my own.
